I just started a
Tumblr, Madame Bovary's Disease. I didn't want to use my name so it might be difficult to find me. As of this point I am only following the Tumblrs on my blogroll. I don't want this Tumblr to be about searching to follow people, and getting people to follow me. I also don't want to use it to promote anything. I mean, I feel I'm doing enough of that lately. I think I'd like to keep it as a reading notebook. There have been so many passages of texts and online brilliance that I've wanted to quickly link to lately, but the Blogger format doesn't really allow it. Also I wanted to follow other people on Tumblr, and be able to comment/favorite, etc. I will still keep Frances Farmer for longform things, I think. I don't know.
As for me, I am reading
A Member of the Wedding, and just finished Tamara Faith Berger's extraordinary
Maidenhead, which I hope to write about soon. I have been dealing with disordered sleep. I am starting to see a therapist at Duke. I chose her because she did her DBT residency at McLean. Why does EVERYTHING to me have to be about literary ancestry?
