The similarity is remarkable. Or perhaps the French writer looks like a puppy. The sweater is entirely because he was shaking like a little leaf outside in the cold. He is only 5lbs. Last night as he got used to my office, nosing around in my boxes, he paid particular attention to my archive boxes of Under the Shadow notes. I took this as some sort of external validation. He too is needy, constantly searching, wanting, wanting attention, up all night. Totally a writer-dog.

ReplyDeleteyes it's hard not to be madly in love. bhanu kapil thought perhaps our two dogs should get married, once jean genet's older, him and Porky, but I think as Jean Genet's a queer dog he probably wouldn't be into marriage. I don't know.

ReplyDeletewhen he's a little older we will probably take him to chicago, although he will have to figure out how to be in a crate without losing it. he is now only really content being held. he's such a baby.

Awww...welcome, Jean Genet! That sweater is pretty much the most sickeningly cute thing ever. And you will be a brilliant dog-mama. He will sleep next to you while you work, and also remind you to take him for walks, which ensures you don't get too lost among the words.
